Osteopenia ... cont'd

It's been about a month since my last post so I thought I'd update you on what's been going on with me and my osteopenia.

When my doctor's advise fell short as to what to do moving forward, I decided to take my health into my own hands.

So ... I've been scanning the Internet, gathering information and learning, learning, learning.

There's a lot of information out there, but the best source I've found so far is the Better Bones blog written by Dr. Susan Brown. Here I found everything I needed to know, from supplements to diet and exercise, meditation, and stress management.

I feel better.

I feel hopeful.

  1. Sue that is so good. I have had to do that myself and then my doctor got on board. Should have been the other way around - but you are doing better and that is so good to hear. Those flowers are gorgeous. Is this a painting? yours?

  2. Hi Margaret! Thank you for visiting and taking to time to comment. I really appreciate that. Yes, doctors need to step up their game for sure.
I grow those roses in my garden. I took that pictures a few years back and ran it through a photo editor to make it look like a painting. I have it framed and hanging in my bathroom, lol.

  3. I know that feeling of bewilderment when you don't get what you need from your doctor. You are doing the right thing taking matters into your own hands. You've probably thought about this but since I recently found a new doctor who made me feel like she was listening and interacting, you might want to consider talking to another doctor or two even. If you are sick of doctors and can't face another one, I completely understand. LOL. You are doing right though in gathering all the information you can. I even stopped a man in the drug store last night because he had on one of those new glucose monitors and he told me all about how they are treating him diabetes. It was good information.

    1. Thanks Barbara. I may (in the future) consider a natropath or functional doctor. Conventional doctors, it seems, are not interested in healing.
