ALL THE THINGS
I once made a list of all the things I thought I would've done by now. Great adventures, big improvements, very impressive achievements.
The list was longer than my arm.
The day was not.
For a moment, I felt rather disappointed in myself. Then I wondered, what if I made a new list of what I have actually done.
I wrote ...
I stayed
I tried
I loved
I got back up
I breathed through difficult mornings
It turned out to be a very good list indeed.
If you think you're behind who you were meant to be by now, try counting what you have survived instead of what you have not achieved.
You may discover you are far more successful than you ever knew.

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Denise.
DeleteLooking over my life a lot lately. I guess we do that when you get older. I did have a fun life, also a hard one at times. But all in all a good one.
ReplyDeleteThat's great, Peg.
DeleteVery good post and Pooh, he knows his stuff.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't he though?
DeleteFor sure! Love that little Pooh. And Snoopy. Love him too.
DeleteJust looking at that family shows what you have achieved!

ReplyDeleteI liked this. :-)
ReplyDeleteI too have been looking at my life. My 2025 was a year of CHANGE for me. It was difficult change, lots of tears.
I am doing better and praying that my 2026 will be better. I appreciate your post.
Love, Carla
I'm so glad my post brought you some comfort, Carla. Life has never been the same for me since Covid. I learned so much about myself and how resilient I am. Change is never easy, but it's the only thing we can count on in life ♥
