Sunscreen Slime

When I turned 60 in March, I resolved to take better care of my myself.

My skin had been (somewhat) neglected, my diet needed tweaking and my activity level wasn't that great; long walks mostly for Ben's benefit was the extent of it.

Since then, there have been many changes for the better. I've shed a few pounds, I'm walking more and a new skin care regimen is showing very favourable results (YAY)!

BUT ... I've yet to get my hands on a good, non-greasy, sunscreen.

It's the shine; I can't stand it.

And as the reject pile grows, my patience (and wallet) wears increasingly thin.

If you know of one, please share.

I'll be eternally grateful.

  1. Hi Sue, I use Boots Soltan because I like the smell, I think it's only available in the UK though (do you live in the USA?). When I go to Australia I use Piz Buin all day lotion. I was sceptical about one application lasting all day but it does, unless you have very sun sensitive skin.

  2. Thanks, Polly. I live in Canada. I'll have to check; I've never heard of it though.

  4. Since we live in Arizona half of the year, I've had to find a good sunscreen that I can put on every morning that will keep me protected while out & about....walking, biking, etc. I've found that I really like the Aveeno sunscreen. It's not cheap, but I use it on my face (under make-up) & back of hands - 2 areas that I really want to make sure are protected. I get it at Target, & often you'll find coupons for it in magazines or newspaper, & once a year Target has a sale of like 20% off of all health & beauty items.

  5. I love Neutrogena. Not at all greasy, doesn't leave you shiny and works like a charm. I get it at Walgreens. Do you have Walgreens up there? But I bet they have it at Target. I went this route via my dermatologist recommendations and I have never looked back. Give it a go.
